LET Renewables is a family-run solar PV and battery storage installation company based in Poole, Dorset.

We specialise in designing and installing solar panel and battery storage systems for homeowners and businesses across Dorset and the surrounding areas.

Our Story

LET Electrical & Renewables was founded by Lewis Turner in 2019, shortly before the COVID pandemic.

Lewis started his career as an apprentice electrician with a local company in Bournemouth, working across new-build and commercial electrical projects. After qualifying, he progressed into contract management, managing electrical engineers working on larger projects throughout Dorset.

During the pandemic, Lewis continued to grow LET by building relationships with homeowners and landlords across the Poole and Bournemouth area.

As the business developed, Kieran joined the company and completed his electrical apprenticeship with LET. Marley later joined the team and also developed through the business.

Following the pandemic, the team completed specialist training in Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV charging, and LET has continued to grow its renewable energy offering ever since.

Today, LET Renewables has developed into a dedicated team covering the complete customer journey — from the first conversation and system design through to DNO applications, surveys, roofing, electrical installation, commissioning and long-term aftercare.

Although the company has grown, our aim remains the same:

Meet The Team

Lewis Turner

Founder & Director

Lewis founded LET Electrical & Renewables in 2019 and has worked as an electrician since 2014.

After completing his electrical apprenticeship locally, Lewis went on to manage teams of electricians working on larger projects throughout Dorset before establishing LET.

Today, Lewis oversees the business and specialises in the design and specification of solar PV, battery storage and renewable energy systems.

Kieran

Lead Electrician

Kieran has been part of LET since 2020 and completed his electrical apprenticeship with the company.

He is now one of our lead electricians and plays a key role in delivering our solar PV, battery storage and EV installations to the high standard our customers expect.

Marley

Operations Manager

Marley joined LET in 2021 and completed his electrical apprenticeship while working with the company.

Today, Marley is our Operations Manager, helping coordinate and oversee installations while bringing extensive hands-on experience with solar PV and battery storage systems.

Daisy

Office Manager

Daisy joined LET in 2024 and manages much of the customer journey behind the scenes.

From keeping customers updated to helping manage DNO and G99 applications, Daisy helps make sure projects continue moving from acceptance through to installation and completion.

Mark joined LET in 2024 and is our Lead Roofer.

He specialises in solar roofing installations and helps ensure panels are installed safely, neatly and with close attention to the finished appearance of the property.

Paul joined LET Renewables in 2026 and brings experience in the solar industry dating back to 2015.

Paul carries out solar consultations and surveys, helping customers understand their options and working with the team to design systems suited to their property, energy usage and objectives.

Greg joined LET Renewables in 2026 as part of our solar roofing team.

He works alongside the installation team fitting solar panel mounting systems and panels while helping ensure each installation is completed neatly and professionally.

Joey joined LET Renewables in 2026 and specialises in helping design solar PV and battery storage systems.

He works with customers to understand their energy requirements and helps produce system designs tailored to the property and the customer’s goals.

Dawn joined the LET team in 2026 and is often one of the first people customers speak to when they contact us.

She helps customers with their initial enquiries and makes sure they are connected with the right member of the team for advice on their solar or battery project.

The attention to detail during his visit carried through to dealing with the office and accepting the quote. Daisy in the office co-ordinated the whole fitting process. They attended the house to give a quote and suggested the best logistical setup for my house of the 4 companies that gave me a quote. They were also the best value quote.
The quality of work they carried out was of the highest standard. The disruption was minimal, they tidied up after, and they admitted they had cracked a tile on completion and returned the following day to replace it. Lewis visited us in February to discuss our requirements and to run a site survey using his drone.
We wanted to save money by charging a battery at a night-time a cheap rate, top the battery up via solar, export to the grid, and be protected from the regular power cuts our street experiences.
Lewis came back with a comprehensive and competitively priced solution. The system was installed over two days in March.
His team installed 20 solar panels, 2 SigEnergy batteries, a SigEnergy inverter and a SigEnergy gateway.

Not overly thrilled. Recently called them to come and do a few jobs around the house, including installing new spotlights which would involve drilling into a wall. I had the new lights and the new switch. I explained all this on the phone and was told along with the other jobs, the best thing to do was charge by the hour. When they got here they looked at the the lights, ummed and arred for a while then said they'd have to send me a quote. The other jobs were getting an outdoor plug working...which had just been switched off somewhere and replacing an outdoor door light which I also supplied. They also spent 15 minutes seeing if they could find why a fuse couldn't stay on which I asked them to do. They didn't find why. So in the end I was charged £168 to change a door light and flip a socket switch.

Well what can I say that uses most of the superlatives in the English language. LET have shown that professionalism still exists in todays business world. The owner (Lewis) believes in communication with his customers, the fitter Kieran, was a very knowledge and able individual, who was tidy in his work and, took the time to explain how the Zappi unit operated and added the App to my phone, which helped immensely. All the team are polite, courteous and respectful and nothing is too much trouble. If you need a company you can trust then LET Electrical & Renewables should be the only call you should make.

Lewis and Marley came out initially to do an electrical check on my new property. They were punctual, clearly highly qualified and answered all my silly questions with great patience! I recently had LET Electrical Services to replace two ceiling light fittings and a light switch in garage.
Arranging an appointment was straight forward, I was given a quotation of how much it would be to have the work done before confirming the appointment and upon agreement the appointment was made straight away.
I received an email confirming all details we had made.
The day before the appointment I received a telephone call from the company’s admin clerk confirming again their attendance the next day.
On the appointment day I received a message informing me that the electrician was on his way and he arrived at the time we had agreed.
